In Final Destination 5, Death is just as superimposing as ever, and is unleashed after Sam's premonition saves a group of coworkers from death in a terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But Death has other plans for each member of the group and all these unsuspecting souls will have to face it at some point of time or the other. Most members of the company are lost during an accident, and during the company funeral, William Bludworth, a local coroner, is present; he warns the group that Death is after them. They all ignore his warnings and move on with their lives. It is only when the remaining members of the group are claimed by death,  one after the other, do they realise that they can't cheat Death. In the terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape Death's sinister agenda, but will they? Can anybody cheat Death?
The movie has some superb visual effects that are made all the more wonderful by the 3D effect. Though there is not much deviation from any of the previous Final Destination movies, this part surpasses its predecessor in the visual effects department. The casting is perfect, and the climax gives us a whole new twist to the franchise! The result is more than usually frightening. Also notable is the film's proficient use of 3D, that it can go on to claim to be the best such example of any 3D movie so far this year
